Bonjour, Paris!

We celebrated the opening of our first-ever boutique in Paris with a VIP shopping event complete with French and American food trucks, calligraphy by our friend Nicolas Ouchenir, a DJ set and some Swarovski sparkles.

We served a mix of American treats (cupcakes, mini-cheeseburgers) and French ones (crêpes and croque-madame) for our first guests.

Our new space features artwork from Yvon Lambert’s former gallery along with original artwork from French artists like Claire Decet and Philippe Weisbecker.

There’s a capsule collection of one-of-a-kind hand-embellished Saint James® shirts created exclusively for 12 rue Malher.

We partnered with Swarovski on a series of appliqués with phrases (“Pardon my French”) and motifs (a moustache, the Eiffel Tower) that customers had hot-pressed onto select items.

Guests took a break from the frenzy of Paris Fashion Week to shop and listen to music by local DJs (and twin brothers) Les Jumeaux.

French calligrapher, Nicolas Ouchenir, wrote the guests’ names in colored inks of their choosing. Read more about our visit to his studio here.

Wooden tokens inscribed with “Avoir du Goût” (translation: You’ve got good taste), good for a treat from one of our food trucks.

Our first Paris store is now open at 12 rue Malher in the Marais and will be home to our women’s collection. So come by, say hello and let everyone know that you visited us by tagging @jcrew and #jaicrew.

Visit us this weekend (6–8 March) and snack on American and French treats from our food trucks parked outside the shop. We’re also giving away a striped tote bag designed for our store opening with any purchase
, while supplies last.
