Beauty Notes:
Our Spring/Summer 2016 Presentation

For tips on how to get the glowy skin and slightly tousled hair from our New York Fashion Week presentation, we went straight to our longtime hair and makeup artist Troi Ollivierre.

“We started with beautiful, glowy skin. Then, we made her brows and eyes pop.”
Troi

FACE: CLEAN + DEWY

1. Prime the skin with Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow and moisturizer. (We love Conscious Coconut Oil.) Apply evenly over the entire face.

2. Touch up skin with cover-up, under the eyes and wherever needed, for a smooth and clean finish.

3. Apply Stila Convertible Color in Petunia lightly to the apple of cheeks.

4. Apply RMS Beauty® Living Luminizer in a C-shape, starting at the temple and working along the cheekbone for extra definition.

THE EYE: A HINT OF SHIMMER

1. Using Laura Mercier Kohl Eye Pencil in Brown Copperdraw a very thin line on the lower inside waterline from the inside corner of eye to the outside corner.

2. Apply RMS Beauty Living Luminizer to the inner corner of eye.

3. Curl lashes and apply two coats of Kjaer Weis Mascara to the top lashes only. Curl lashes again between each coat.

4. Gently dab MAC Lipglass over the entire eyelid.

5. Fill in brows as needed, then brush upward using a clear brow gel.

LIP: NICE + NEUTRAL

“We developed a new lip stain, Oscar, for the show. It’s meant to look really natural, really subtle—like it could be her own lip color.”

1. Make sure lips are moisturized by applying a generous amount of Glossier Balm Dotcom

2. Dab RMS Beauty Living Luminizer on the chin and at the bow of the lips.

3. Apply Troi Ollivierre™ Lip Stain in Oscar (coming soon!), beginning in the center of the mouth and lightly spreading outward.

HAIR: THREE (!!) IDEAS

“We don’t normally do hair half up/half down, but we gave it a try this season. It was a great way to show off shirt and jacket collars.”

HALF UP/HALF TUCK
1. Blow-dry hair using Lavett&Chin® Original Sea/Salt Texturizing Mist. Use a round brush to add volume at the roots.

2. Use Sachajuan™ Medium-hold Hair Spray throughout hair to add more texture. Then apply Kiehl’s Silk Groom to ends and roots.

3. Gather the front half of hair into a high twisted nest at the crown of head and secure with hairpins. Make sure there is a slight bump in the front, with hair at the sides closer to the head.

4. Loosen some pieces around forehead and smooth ends of topknot with Kiehl’s Silk Groom

5. Spray all over with Sachajuan Medium-hold Hair Spray to hold in place.

A DO-IT-YOURSELF TOPKNOT
