#JCREWNYFW Diary: Dan, Singer-songwriter

Singer-songwriter Dan Dyer is used to being in front of crowds as a musician, but we asked the Austin, Texas native to come to New York to try a different sort of performing: standing on stage without his trusty guitar in our Fall-Winter ’17 presentation.

SATURDAY, 10:30AM, BREAKFAST AT EDWARD’S
“I got huevos a la Mexicana
with extra bacon (that’s the key
to everything)."

  1. .

12:30PM, J.CREW LIQUOR
STORE VISIT
"Shirts or shots?"

2PM, SNOWY COMMUTE
"Snow: something I don’t see much in Texas. Tractors, on the other hand..."

3:30PM, FITTING
"I normally wear a cowboy hat, a chambray shirt or a henley, jeans and boots. Here, I’m trying out a new character with Frank, J.Crew’s men’s designer, and his four-legged friend Dutch."

6:30PM, EARLY DINNER AT MAYSVILLE
"Grits, smoked oysters and Maysville’s Bourbon Bloody Mary: even up north I gotta go back south."

SUNDAY, 1PM, THE PRESENTATION
"I didn’t really know what I was getting into with this presentation, but chatting with fellow Texan Taylor Tomasi Hill is making me feel right at home. I’m enjoying myself—it’s just another stage for me."
