#JCREWNYFW Diary: Daryl, Jack of Many Trades

Daryl is a jack of many trades—among them, he’s a Broadway actor and maître d’ at The Standard, where Jenna met him and picked him to be one of the models of our new collection. We tagged along as he describes the 31 hours leading up to our fall/winter 2017 presentation.

6AM, TENNIS MATCH
“One of my favorite things about living in NYC: early-morning tennis on the public courts along the West Side Highway.”

10AM, COFFEE TIME
“Picking up my morning espresso at La Colombe. Need that pick-me-up to get through today.”

1:30PM, FITTING AT J.CREW
“My first J.Crew fitting—I can tell I’m in good hands with Frank.”

4PM, WORK TIME
“Off to my job as maître d’ at The Standard. It’s Fashion Week, so it will be lively tonight!”

11:30PM, LATE DINNER AT HOME
“Starving! But I’m a lucky man—my wife Iben is from Denmark, and tonight she made me a Danish turkey burger with beets, horseradish, capers, onions and egg yolk over a bed of arugula.”

1PM, SHOW TIME
“Here we go… I’m relaxed and ready for some fun! I love my outfit—the tailored topcoat is something I’d definitely wear in real life, and the scarf is classic but modern.”
