How It’s Done: The Postcard-print Short

It’s officially shorts season, so we asked the very stylish Sai De Silva to show us how she’s wearing our printed short around her Brooklyn neighborhood. Her sidekick was none other than her daughter London Scout, the star of Sai’s blog Scout the City.

FOR WORK

At her office in Dumbo, Brooklyn

“These shorts are an instant mood lifter (as soon as I put them on, I wanted to do an #OOTD!). A cool top, comfortable shorts and sandals is my summer work-outfit go-to. It’s so versatile—I just switch the sandals for sneakers when I’m on mom duty and need to hit the park.”

Sai wears our high-waisted short in postcard print, short-sleeve popover in Irish linen and grosgrain ribbon block-heel sandals with our striped straw market tote, below.

London Scout wears our girls' ruffly top in stripe.

“I have no typical day at work, but I usually start the day in the office with the team. Our morning meetings are filled with creative ideas that we translate into content for the blog.”

FOR WEEKEND

“I love stripes! In my book, they act as a neutral and can be paired with almost anything. London Scout has also taught me that comfort is key. Her sneaker and tomboy-chic look always encourages my style.”

London Scout wears our girls' bow short in gingham, glitter Cyprus sandals and woven straw cat bag.

“Dumbo is small and charming with lots of hidden places to shoot. I fell in love with the cobblestone streets and city views.”

FOR WHEREVER

Heading to dinner in her Dumbo neighborhood

“I love how bold and playful this outfit is. I feel like I’m on vacation in Cuba! The sandals and bag also give it a youthful, fun feel.”

“If you’re in the neighborhood, I recommend having drinks on the rooftop of 1 Hotel or a margarita at Gran Electrica (sit along the ivy-covered wall in the back). Then grab a bite at Cecconis, overlooking Janes Carousel and the Manhattan Bridge or enjoy a lobster roll at Luke’s Lobster.”
