Beauty Notes:
Our Fall/Winter 2015 Presentation

Longtime hair/makeup artist Troi Ollivierre tells us how to get the bold brows and slight après-ski glow from our New York Fashion Week presentation.

“Since it’s winter, we wanted the makeup to look fresh and a little flushed…like she just came in from a day of skiing.”
Troi Ollivierre, hair & makeup artist

1. Prime skin with a mix of Laura Mercier Foundation Primer and moisturizer, applying evenly over the entire face.

2. Touch up with RMS Beauty® “Un” Cover-up under the eyes, and wherever needed, for a smooth, even finish.

3. Dab blush high on the outer cheekbones.

4. Apply Make® Skin Illuminator in a C-shape, starting at the temple and working along the cheekbone for extra definition.

1. Apply Make Skin Illuminator liberally over the entire eyelid and inner corners of the eyes.

2. Curl lashes and apply one coat of RMS Beauty Volumizing Mascara to the top lashes only.

3. Apply Nars Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Skorpios to the outer corners of the top and bottom lash line.

4. Fill in brows as needed, then brush upward using a clear brow gel.

“The most important part? The lip of course! We wanted it to look sheer and natural—with just a hint of color.”

1. Exfoliate lips and moisturize with lip balm (we recommend Mecca Cosmetics Lip de Luscious SPF 25 Lip Treatment Day).

2. Dab Make Skin Illuminator at the bow of the lips.

3. Apply Troi Ollivierre™ Lip Stain in Tim (coming soon!) starting darker at the center of the mouth and working outward to create a gradient effect.

“The hair is very natural. It’s meant to look like she did her ponytail herself.”

1. Blow-dry hair using Lavett&Chin® Original Sea/Salt Texturizing Mist spray. Use a round brush to add volume at the roots.

2. Straighten hair with a flatiron until it is pin straight.

3. Create a center part with your fingers extending for 2-3 inches, then pull hair into a slight bump at the crown of the head.

4. Pull hair into a ponytail 2-3 inches above the nape of the neck and secure with an elastic. Wrap a section of hair around the elastic to cover it.

6. Loosen and separate a couple of pieces toward the crown and forehead. Spray all over with Sachajuan™ Hair Spray to hold in place.
