Around here, we don’t believe in “I can’t pull that off.” So we’re asking a few stylish women we know to try something new…for five days in a row. Jenna went first and wore gingham. Then Kai Avent-deLeon of Bed-Stuy boutique Sincerely, Tommy tried our Ratti® Into the Wild floral. Next up, Leandra Medine of Man Repeller, known as much for her funny, refreshing voice in the fashion world as for her complete fearlessness when it comes to mixing prints and color, shows us how she wears one of the girliest colors for five days straight.

DAY ONE: THE PINK SUIT

Leandra at Cha Cha Matcha in Nolita, NYC, in the Italian wool Rhodes blazer and pant in wild flamingo, with her own dress and glasses.

“My take on pink is similar to my take on most things that are linked to getting dressed—the more you think about a piece of clothing’s implications, the more likely you are to accidentally feed into them. So I’d recommend not overthinking it.”

DAY TWO: THE SEQUIN SKIRT

A trip to Morgenstern’s ice cream shop in the East Village, in the Tippi sweater in mixed stripe and the Collection sequin skirt in azalea rust, plus the coin purse in sunwashed pink on her own bag.

“Sequins during the day? You haven’t lived until you’ve done it.”

DAY THREE: THE DRAKE'S SILK BLOUSE

For a taco break at Tacombi, she layers the sailor-stripe boatneck T-shirt under the Collection Drake’s® for J.Crew perfect shirt. She wears an enamel ring in soft blossom.

“I love how playful this print is—the tigers are just hanging out! I’ve also found that bandanas are a really easy way to add character to an outfit without bothering your clothes.”

DAY FOUR: THE CHINO

Leandra in the Rayner chino in warm rose, the Collection Drake’s for J.Crew pajama top and her own robe.

DAY FIVE: THE FAUX-FUR JACKET

She wears our Collection faux-fur jacket (available 9/18) with the Italian cashmere ruffle polo sweater in ripe melon.

Well played, Leandra. OK, your turn. Instagram your own personal spin on pink with the hashtag #jcrewchallenge.
