How It’s Done: The Drake’s® for J.Crew
Giraffe-print Skirt

We asked our friend Marlien—founder of one of our favorite fashion sites, Le Catch”—to show us three ways and three places she’s wearing our giraffe-print skirt around her LA neighborhood. Bonus: Her identical twin sister, Coliena, a photographer we love, took the pictures. Oh, snap!

FOR WORK

Driving to a lunch meeting in Malibu

“I like mixing and matching disparate prints, like pairing this exotic, batik-like giraffe print with stripes. That unexpectedness defines
an outfit.”

Marlien wears our Drake’s® for J.Crew skirt in giraffe print, sailor stripe tee in paint splatter (similar here), cotton peacoat and Lena ankle-wrap pumps

“Founding Le Catch was really a selfish endeavor because it
justified my everyday shopping habit. I scan the web’s best fashion sites every day to source the newest, most desirable, bound-to-sell-out items that are often also ridiculously affordable. My goal is to find at least one amazing item every day that’s so good it would be crazy NOT to buy it!”

FOR WEEKEND

Skateboarding to the beach with her sons

“This is proof that sneakers and a skirt can take you anywhere—even cruising on a skateboard. It’s laid-back and easy, but still stylish. That’s ideal in my book!”

“I love being close to the ocean and having palm trees in my front yard—and that my kids can surf and play outside year-round. Moving from New York to California has definitely relaxed my style.”

FOR WHEREVER

Hanging out at home in Pacific Palisades

“The metallic pointy-toe flats dress up the outfit and temper its bohemian vibe. I’d wear this out to lunch with friends at Gjelina in Venice, which is also equal parts boho and chic. As a mom, when I get an opportunity to dress up, I go all out!”

“It’s easier to smile for the camera when Coliena is behind it! She makes it fun, but most importantly, she’s honest when things are not looking good!”
