Summer Weekend Packing

Summer trips should be easy, so we’ve packed your bags for you—whether you’re headed to a city, a beach or the mountains—and asked our friends at Tablet Hotels to create itineraries for when you get there.

 The West Coast Beach Weekend

WHERE TO STAY: L’Auberge Del Mar, located on the California coast with a private pathway to
the beach.

WHERE TO EAT: Head to the Marine Room at high tide for some local seafood. (Pro tip: Jackets are encouraged, so you might want to pack an unstructured Ludlow blazer too.)

WHAT TO DO: Southern California demands a surfing trip, and Scripps Beach is the place to be to suit up and catch some waves.

WHAT TO PACK: Keep it casual in a made-in-LA garment-dyed ball cap, our exclusive Ebbets Field Flannels tees and quick-drying swim trunks.

 The Urban Exploring Weekend

WHERE TO GO: New York City

WHERE TO STAY: The Mercer, a spare, loft-style boutique hotel in the middle of Soho.

WHERE TO EAT: Try some Jewish deli comfort food at Russ & Daughters Cafe on the Lower East Side, the sit-down extension of the famous, century-old “appetizing store.” (An appetizing store is a place that sells bagels and the food you eat with them, like lox and cream cheese. Sounds awesome, right?)

WHAT TO DO: Head to the nearby New Museum—its openings, screenings and talks focus on contemporary artists, so you’ll definitely discover something, well, new.

WHAT TO PACK: Be ready for everything from museums to walking through the park in an unstructured stretch Ludlow blazer, a seersucker shirt and Adidas Gazelle sneakers.

 The East Coast Beach Weekend

WHERE TO GO: Nantucket

WHERE TO STAY: The Veranda House, which has a history dating back to 1684 and sweeping views of the harbor.

WHERE TO EAT: In Nantucket, you need to eat lobster. Go to Sea Grille and order the most decadent thing on the menu. (Note: It’s all decadent.)

WHAT TO DO: Get around by bike. It’s easy, convenient and will make you feel a little less guilty for ordering that second lobster roll. Then check out Cisco Brewers for craft beer, live music and that famously friendly Nantucket vibe.

WHAT TO PACK: You’ll blend in thanks to preppy staples like a madras blazer, critter shorts and our exclusive boat shoes.

 The Mountain Expedition Weekend

WHERE TO STAY: The Little Nell, an ideal home base where you can relax between outdoor excursions like hiking, fishing and cycling.

WHERE TO EAT: La Crêperie du Village brings the Alps to Aspen with high-altitude French standbys:
fondue, raclette, cured meats and more.

WHAT TO DO: Get your live-music fix at Belly Up, a spot known for its sound system and consistently great acts.

WHAT TO PACK: You may not know how to use a compass, but you’ll at least be able to fake it in our Kenton boots, Wallace & Barnes utility shirt and Harwick backpack.
